Maura Gallahue is a Communications Officer with GBHI. Based at TCD, she is responsible for promoting the messages of the GBHI and Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health.

Stories connect people. They can bring meaning and purpose into the lives of people with dementia and their families through accessible creative engagement.

Prior to joining GBHI, Gallahue was a Communications Officer in Trinity Sport where she created and implemented a communications strategy focusing on performance and participation. She was responsible for writing, editing and publishing content for the Trinity Sport website and social media channels.

Before joining Trinity Sport, Gallahue worked with students with disabilities, first as a Teaching and Learning Officer in The Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities and then as a Disability Officer in TCD. Here, she was responsible for conducting individual needs assessments in order to empower students with disabilities to achieve their full potential in an inclusive learning environment with various support.

Bio: Maura Gallahue obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design from Dublin Institute of Technology and a Master’s of Science in Disability Studies from Trinity College Dublin. She also completed a Higher Diploma in Digital Media Design from the Institute of Technology Carlow. She aims to use her skills in design and communications to generate effective and positive exposure for equity in brain health. She joined the GBHI team in September 2019.
