Melinda “Mindy” Matice serves as the Curriculum Manager at GBHI. She works with faculty to help shape better learning environments, while developing strategies for clear and interactive sessions for all fellows engaged in the program.
Prior to joining GBHI, Matice has been a teacher, educator and instructor, developing and teaching in programs for international graduate students and faculty. She has always enjoyed helping those from technical and scientific fields “translate” their knowledge, helping them reach broader audiences with their research and ideas. She has instructed students and faculty in telling their scientific stories, via papers and presentations, in more creative and engaging ways. She believes that GBHI is helping to create vivid opportunities for reducing the burdens of dementia and improving brain health in our world. She is thrilled to be a part of a program that is making strides in addressing global health inequities. In her free time, she is a voracious reader.
Bio: Melinda Matice received her BA in Economics and History from the University of Michigan. In addition to her Masters of Arts in Teaching from the School for International Training, she holds a Certification to Teach at the Secondary Level from Oakland University.
