About the Program

Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health

Overview

The Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health program at GBHI provides innovative training, networking, and support to emerging leaders focused on improving brain health and reducing the impact of dementia in their local communities and on a global scale. It is one of seven global Atlantic Fellows programs to advance fairer, healthier, and more inclusive societies.

Through the Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health program, GBHI brings together expertise from across disciplines, professions, and perspectives to develop new solutions. Atlantic Fellows come from many different professional backgrounds including clinical practice, social sciences, arts, economics, public health, research, policy, and education.

The program is founded on GBHI’s values—Authenticity, Fairness, Openness, Respect, Courage, and Empathy (A FORCE)—and a commitment and ability to embody these values in practice and inspire them in others. The values are considered in every aspect of the program—from the curriculum to the clinical and lived experiences.
