Lifelong Fellowship

Overview

The Lifelong Fellowship: A Two-Way Gift

Becoming an Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health means joining a lifelong, global community of changemakers.

Your fellowship doesn’t end with graduation — it evolves and expands. Over 260 Atlantic Fellows from 60+ countries (and nearly 1,000 across all Atlantic Fellow programs) continue to learn, collaborate, and lead together to advance equity in brain health worldwide.

A Community for Life

The fellowship is built on shared responsibility, co-design, and lifelong engagement. Whether you are leading global research, designing care models in your community, or inspiring change through art and advocacy, GBHI is here to accompany you throughout your journey.

Our Shared Commitment

As an Atlantic Fellow, you join a community rooted in authenticity, fairness, openness, respect, courage, and empathy (AFORCE).

Together we commit to:

  • Lead and learn with integrity and empathy.
  • Communicate respectfully across diverse experiences.
  • Share results and insights to catalyze global change.

Lifelong Impact

Your fellowship fuels transformation across populations, practice, policy, publications, and perceptions.

Every fellow’s journey contributes to the GBHI theory of change, driving real impact through:

  • Populations – promoting equity in care and prevention.
  • Practice – improving diagnosis, treatment, and care.
  • Policy – shaping evidence-based brain health policy.
  • Publications – generating and sharing new knowledge.
  • Perception – reducing stigma and inspiring dignity.

You Are the Change

Alumni are more than fellows: they are part of a living network of leaders improving brain health equity worldwide. Whether you are leaning in or taking space, your connection to GBHI and the Atlantic community endures.

When it comes down to it, it’s all about the people.
