Vision

Protecting brain health requires combining scientific innovation, public awareness, and equitable access to healthcare. By addressing risk factors across the life course and supporting healthy aging worldwide, we can reduce the burden of dementia and improve quality of life for older adults.

Strategy

As a Research Manager at GBHI, Davoud supports research initiatives, international collaborations, and funding strategies that advance brain health and healthy aging. His work helps strengthen scientific programs that generate evidence to improve dementia prevention, care, and policy.

Motivation

I believe that addressing global inequalities in brain health requires collaboration across disciplines, countries, and communities. Through GBHI, I contribute to building research capacity and advancing innovative solutions that help protect aging populations from dementia and related neurological conditions.

Education & Experience

Davoud is Research Manager at GBHI at Trinity College Dublin. He is an internationally experienced biomedical scientist with expertise in immunology, vaccine development, translational research, and global health. Throughout his career, he has worked across academic, clinical, and industry settings in Europe, Australia, and Asia.

Davoud is the inventor of the replication-incompetent bacteria vaccine platform, an innovative technology developed to enhance immune protection against infectious diseases. His research has focused on vaccine innovation, host-pathogen interactions, immune responses, and the translation of scientific discoveries into real-world health solutions. At GBHI, he leads and supports research development initiatives, strategic partnerships, and funding opportunities that advance brain health research and promote healthy aging worldwide.
