Event Details

Promotional flyer for the Africa Brain Health Webinar Series, running bi-weekly from April 12, 2025, to February 7, 2026, with times listed for various African time zones and a QR code to register.

The Africa Brain Health Webinar Series is a knowledge-sharing and educational activity organized by the Sub-Saharan Africa Brain Health Initiative (SSABHI), under the leadership of two Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health, Laz Ude Eze (2023) and Obiora Okoye (2020).

The goal of the webinar series is to create brain health awareness especially among people who don't have a medical background by simplifying the human brain and discussing it in the simplest possible form. The 10-month long biweekly webinar series started on 12th April 2025.

In line with the SSABHI’s core mission -  advancing brain health awareness in Sub-Saharan Africa; the webinar series spotlights the human brain and addresses pressing topics such as the anatomy and functions of the human brain, cognitive decline, neurological disorders, mental health, brain-friendly environments, arts for brain health, policy and legal frameworks, and the socio-economic dimensions of brain wellbeing.

Each session features expert presentations, interactive discussions, and knowledge exchange opportunities designed to promote knowledge and understanding of the human brain. The series also serves as a strategic platform to amplify African voices in the global brain health discourse, while fostering regional partnerships that support SSABHI’s mission to build a culturally grounded, inclusive, and sustainable brain health ecosystem in Africa.
