Motivation
In Egypt and the region, dementia remains under-recognized and stigmatized. By reimagining healthy aging through social connection, community-based innovation, and cross-sector partnerships, Dina aims to advance brain health and reduce dementia risk.
Education & Experience
Dina is an Ashoka Fellow, healthy aging consultant, social entrepreneur, international arbitrator, and corporate governance expert. She is the Founder of the Golden Years Foundation, where she leads community engagement initiatives and cross-sector partnerships to advance healthy ageing and older adults' wellbeing in Egypt.
She was recognized by the World Health Organization as one of 50 global leaders advancing the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing and is a member of Ashoka's global New Longevity Fellows cohort. She contributed to the development of Egypt's national caregiving curriculum for older adults as a UN Women Consultant.
Dina has over 20 years of international experience in corporate law, governance, and arbitration, having worked across New York, Milan, and Cairo. She holds an LL.M. in Corporate Governance & Practice from Stanford Law School, an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from the American University in Cairo, and a Licence de Droit from Cairo University. She is licensed to practice law in New York and Egypt.
Her work focuses on reimagining healthy aging through community innovation, social connection, and cross-sector collaboration, translating evidence into action to promote brain health, reduce dementia risk, and help older adults thrive.
