Motivation
Mai is motivated by the challenges in her region, where dementia remains underdiagnosed and poorly understood and awareness of brain health and risk factors is limited. She aims to bridge these gaps through clinical care and family education, improving recognition, prevention, and long-term support.
Education & Experience
Mai Abuzant earned her medical degree from An-Najah National University in the West Bank, followed by a neurology residency at Rambam Health Care Campus in Israel. She later moved to Germany to pursue clinical research before returning to her hometown, where she now works as a neurologist at An-Najah University Hospital and other medical centers.
