Current Work

Max is a photographer, filmmaker, and Media Director at Walking the Talk for Dementia (WTD). He creates visual media strategy, content production, and creative direction to capture authentic experiences, amplify voices, and connect communities through meaningful storytelling.

Vision

Communication is key. Society needs accessible brain-health knowledge before diagnosis, so people recognize signs early, plus clear, simple communication during diagnosis itself. Together, this builds public awareness reducing fear and stigma.

Strategy

Max uses filmmaking to create dementia-awareness content, partnering with global organizations to translate science into art making it accessible for everyday audiences beyond the scientific community.

Impact

As an Atlantic Fellow, Max aims to bring university-level knowledge on dementia into his community, connecting with people across diverse backgrounds who work in the field expanding awareness and bringing hope to as many families as possible.

Motivation

Brazil's vast cultural diversity makes localized dementia awareness essential. Max hopes to use storytelling and film to reach communities often left out of scientific conversations, helping break stigma and build brain health understanding nationwid

Education & Experience

Max completed his bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing at Universidade Uniasselvi Leonardo da Vinci in Santa Catarina, Brazil. He later earned a further bachelor's degree in International Business from Dorset College in Dublin, Ireland.
