Current Work
Njohjam is a trainee neurologist and clinical neuroscience researcher advancing community-based initiatives to strengthen preventive and clinical neurological care in medically underserved and fragile communities in Cameroon.

Vision
Many people are unaware that dementia risk can be mitigated by optimizing brain health and addressing modifiable risk factors across the lifespan. We must therefore empower people to make informed decisions on brain health throughout life.
Strategy
Mundih actively promotes brain health across the life course through community outreach, health education, digital campaigns, and healthcare worker training, helping people to adopt healthier behaviors and reduce their risk of cognitive decline.
Impact
As an Atlantic Fellow, Mundih aims to design and implement a community-based brain health program that empowers people to adopt brain-healthy lifestyles, reducing their risk of cognitive decline, and challenge stigma surrounding dementia in Cameroon.
Motivation
By taking brain health and dementia knowledge to communities, Mundih hopes to empower individuals to take greater control of their brain health by addressing the social, environmental, and behavioural factors that influence cognitive health.
Education & Experience
Mundih Njohjam is a senior neurology resident at the University of Cheikh Anta Diop, Senegal. She earned her medical training at the University of Yaounde I, Cameroon and holds a master's degree in Global Health from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom.
