Overview

CliCBrain logo

Climate change and the exposome not only threaten civilisation but also negatively impact brain health, increasing dementia risk. This creates a need for improved understanding and protective strategies.

Project Details

With the support of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programmme, the CliCBrain project aims to explore how climate change impacts brain health.

  • First, it will create an exposome framework to explore these effects.
  • Second, it will develop strategies to protect brain health at the individual and community levels.
  • Finally, it will formulate recommendations for community, service and policy changes.

This initiative will lead to significant scientific advancements, new methodologies and actionable insights for policymakers, establishing a sustainable community of practice focused on climate change and brain health. This project connects researchers from across geographies and disciplines in order to develop new knowledge and approaches to address this pressing problem. 22 partners from 16 countries will participate in this initiative.
