Overview
My primary goal is to contribute to the global discussion on dementia care, challenge the stigma associated with dementia and nurture hope in the world of brain health. As a creative artist I am uniquely positioned to promote awareness and understanding on the positive impact of creative arts in dementia care and wellbeing.
Project Details
I am writing a book of fictional short stories inspired by my personal experiences both as a family carer and friend to those living with dementia. The book is tentatively called, “Hope - Ronald the rooster and other short stories in the days of dementia.” I am creating imaginary figures set in extraordinary settings, focusing on various aspects of Brain Health. My ultimate vision is to bring the published stories to life in animation and extended reality presentations. I am an accomplished author and songwriter. My education at GBHI Trinity College Dublin has profoundly shaped my writing enabling me to hopefully create an engaging, entertaining, and educational book of stories for all ages.
