Overview
My overarching aims are to contribute to the ongoing global discussion on dementia care, address the stigma associated with dementia, promote hope, awareness and understanding and shine a light on creative arts intervention in dementia care.
Project Details
I am writing a book of fictional short stories inspired by the lived experience of dementia and dementia care. The book is called, “Hope - Ronald the rooster and other short stories in the days of dementia.” I will create imaginary figures in extraordinary settings focusing on various aspects of dementia and dementia care. I am an accomplished author and songwriter. My education at GBHI Trinity College Dublin will further inform my writing to ensure an engaging, entertaining and educational book of stories, suitable for all ages.
