UnRavelled: World Premiere (October 17)
Event Details
Art, science, and love intersect in this stirring true story about the remarkable connection between the work of Canadian painter and eminent biologist Dr. Anne Adams and French composer Maurice Ravel, both of whom lived with the same rare brain disease, frontotemporal dementia (FTD), almost 100 years apart.
After years of development and a multi-award winning streaming production, UnRavelled makes it’s world premiere as a multi media performance featuring music, art, theatre and movement - surrounded by a Brain Health Festival on October 17, 18, & 19, 2025.
Written by Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health Jake Broder and Directed by James Bonas, “Unravelled BUILDS IN INTENSITY BEAT BY BEAT winding you into its madness right up to the bold destabilizing climax.—Ross Anthony, Hollywood Report Card. UnRavelled is built on the true story of the amazing case of Dr. Anne Adams, a scientist who suddenly became a painter at 53 - and the connection she had to the world renowned composer Maurice Ravel. The result is "MOVING… PROFOUND… …. one of the most unusual plays I have ever seen.” — Michael Moffatt, The Irish Daily Mail
