Current Work

Rashed is working as a dementia care specialist, advocating policy, raising awareness and reducing stigma. He is a researcher, dementia trainer and care service provider

Vision

Rashed aims to develop a movement—"Together for Tomorrow"—to achieve a dementia friendly society with the collaboration of all stakeholders locally and globally.

Strategy

Rashed is advocating with the government to develop a national dementia plan and building capacity for family caregivers to improve quality of life. He is also taking part in research, raising awareness, and collaborating with other stakeholders.

Impact

Rashed aims to develop a national dementia plan to create a country wide impact to improve the quality of life for people living with dementia and their family members. He also strives to develop a model for a dementia friendly village in rural Bangladesh.

Motivation

Rashed is collaborating with NINS, NIMH, DGHS, CSOs and other stakeholders to increase awareness, develop services for people living with dementia and support their family members.

Education & Experience

Rashed completed his Masters in Dementia Studies from the University of Stirling in the United Kingdom. He undertook his Bachelor in Computer Science and Engineering at Dhaka International University, Bangladesh. He is a also Commonwealth Scholar. Rashed founded "Probin Seba", a care providing organisation in Bangladesh ande is co-founder of the Dementia Care Foundation Bangladesh. He is a dementia care specialist, researcher, trainer and columnist raising awareness of the issue in national level.
