Introducing Brain Bridges: Stories of Global Brain Health Leadership
Brain Bridges is a new podcast from the Global Brain Health Institute that explores the journeys, insights, and experiences of leaders working to advance brain health and reduce inequities around the world.
The Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI) is pleased to announce the launch of Brain Bridges, a new podcast featuring conversations with leaders working to advance brain health and equity around the world.
The series explores the personal journeys, experiences, and ideas that shape leadership in global brain health. Through thoughtful conversations with Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health, listeners will hear stories from individuals working across health, science, advocacy, policy, education, and the arts to improve brain health in their communities.
Produced by GBHI at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Brain Bridges offers an opportunity to look beyond professional accomplishments and learn about the experiences that inspire and sustain leaders committed to creating a more equitable future.
The inaugural episode, "Leading with Purpose: Women in Brain Health," features Atlantic Fellow Elisa Resende, a neurologist and neuroscientist based in Brazil. In conversation with Victor Valcour, Site Director of GBHI at UCSF, Resende reflects on her journey into medicine, the influence of education and literacy on brain health, and the opportunities and challenges she has encountered as a woman in leadership. The episode explores how education, community, and collaboration can contribute to healthier futures around the world.
New episodes of Brain Bridges will be released monthly and will feature voices from across GBHI's global network of Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health.
Listeners can explore the first episode and subscribe to Brain Bridges on major podcast platforms through the podcast page.
