Current Work
Kimberley is an attorney-at-law who specializes in health and human rights law. She is a member of the Barbados Alzheimer's Association and has been engaged in projects concerning the rights of older adults since 2017.

Vision
Acknowledging that inequities are created and not inevitable, Kimberley believes that we can and must collaboratively and creatively redesign environments, structures and laws to make a more just world, particularly for persons living with dementia and their caregivers.
Strategy
Kimberley analyzes policies to identify opportunities to remove inequities affecting people with Alzheimer's disease and their carers. As a member of the Barbados Alzheimer's Association, she also advocates for the implementation of a National Dementia Plan.
Impact
As an Atlantic Fellow, Kimberley will learn as much as she can from her global colleagues' diverse experiences to help identify and assess local policy solutions for her home country, Barbados, to improve the lives of individuals and families.
Motivation
Barbados lacks dementia data and laws. Aiming to positively influence policymaking and improve support for affected individuals, Kimberley seeks to centre the voices and rights of caregivers and those living with Alzheimer's disease.
Education & Experience
Kimberley is an attorney-at-law called to the Bar in Barbados, her home country. She also holds an LLM in Legislative Drafting from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill and an LLM in National and Global Health Law with a certificate in international human rights law from Georgetown University Law Center, where she attended as a Fulbright grantee and food policy scholar.
