Applied theatre uses theatrical techniques and creative processes outside traditional performance spaces to examine social issues and inspire positive change.
This applied theatre workshop—led by Chukwudi Okoye, PhD, an Applied Theatre Practitioner, Senior Lecturer, and current Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health at the Global Brain Health Institute, Trinity College Dublin—offers a relaxed yet engaging atmosphere for participants to explore applied theatre approaches in brain health advocacy drawing on experiences from both Nigeria and Ireland.

Audience
This event is open to the public. Spaces are limited so advance registration is required.
No acting experience required. This event will introduce participants to creative approaches for carrying out applied theatre projects for health advocacy.
Location
The workshop will be held at Unit18 (Trinity in the Community). Located on the Trinity East campus it is the first dedicated physical space provided by Trinity for civic and community engagement.
The front door is on Macken Street, approximately 50 metres from the junction of Pearse and Macken Street, going towards Grand Canal Street Lower (black gates with sign). View map
