Current Work

Chukwudi is a lecturer and researcher with the department of Theatre and Film studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Nigeria where he teaches Applied Theatre, Adaptation and Management.

Vision

Chukwudi believes we need to embrace and engage qualitative techniques across multidisciplinary lines in fostering helpful practices to not only reduce the impact of dementia but where possible, improve healthy brain activities.

Strategy

Chukwudi presently teaches Applied Theatre at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka on the engagement of the Creative arts in improving psychosocial activities within healthcare environments and beyond.

Impact

As an Atlantic Fellow, Chukwudi aims to learn from and collaborate with mentors and fellows alike in contributing to policy development programs as well as improve communal practices in the care for people living with dementia in Nigeria.

Motivation

Through the engagements of creative interventions and concepts such as RehabDramatics under ethically approved standards, Chukwudi aims to contribute to the study and practice of Brain Health in Nigeria.

Education & Experience

Chukwudi holds a PhD in Applied Theatre and is a Lecturer with Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Nigeria. He is an active Applied Theatre Practitioner, Drama therapy researcher and drummer.
