Dani is an artist engaged in providing a safe environment developing emotional healthy relationships among the LGBT+ community through collective music practice.

Vision

Today world problems require collective actions. We must work as a community incorporating personal passions with intellect we can engage in real world problems, creating viable solutions for long term transformation in the society.

Impact

As an Atlantic Fellow, Dani aims to create a network that can replicate artistic interventions in underserved populations, hoping to contribute to a society where all people, regardless of their sexual orientation, are considered as equals.

Motivation

Vulnerable populations, such as LGBT+, are exposed to cognitive threats due to existing social discrimination. Dani seeks to improve the mental health of this social group to enable them a better quality of life.

Education & Experience

Dani is an industrial engineer from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and a music composition teacher from the Conservatorio Juan José Castro. After graduation he completed a course on social innovation from Georgetown University in Washington DC, data mining in the Universidad de Buenos Aires and Epistemology by the Università Sophia from Italy. He is passionate about strategic consulting, team management and decision making. Quick to learn and generate bonds, Dani synthesizes ideas and incorporates new technological forms while reducing efforts in the search for innovative solutions to society's problems.

 As an engineer he is a versatile professional with experience in the public sector, private sector and civil society organizations, leading high performance multidisciplinary teams in different project styles. In Germany, Dani was Project Manager in Starkmacher, e.V. In Argentina, he was a manager for the government of the city.

As an artist, his piano career includes both solo performances (classical music concerts and jazz performer for the Mannheim University jazz big band) and as accompanist in various ensembles performing musicals, tango, choir repertoire, eurythmy, and classical dance. He composed the music for the PRESET Project film, awarded by the EU as a best practice project and collaborated as orchestra arranger for the Sinfónica Juvenil del Conservatorio JJ Castro. He is also a performing actor in live theatrical productions since 2019 and he has worked as a teacher in all levels of education since 2009.

As a volunteer he collaborated actively with the Focolare Movement between 2007 and 2017, participated in interdisciplinary projects from the School of Engineering, conducted music workshops in underserved and vulnerable communities in Buenos Aires, and he was translator in the World Youth Day global gathering.
